Overall assessment:

This year, the trade fairs took place in the winter month of February which proved to be very beneficial both from the point of view of the exhibitors and the significantly higher number of visitors. Both the professional and lay public in this period extensively considers the reconstruction and modernization of houses and flats and the production and realization construction firms need to present services and materials they offer. Trade fairs are a very efficient tool for it. Also the last year's floods enhanced the interest in reconstruction and renovation, namely especially on the part of the citizens of the flooded Prague quarters.

Roughly one third of exhibitors at the ECO CITY trade fair recruited themselves from the energy sector.

An important part of the trade fairs was a presentation block called Region - City - Municipality where the visitors could compare the level of individual regional industrial zones, investment opportunities, transport infrastructure, tourism etc. This year, the following 4 regions made their presentations: South Bohemia, Carlsbad, Liberec and Plzeň, in addition, the City of Prague had its special exposition dedicated to floods of the year 2002. Visitors, both non-professionals and representatives of the entrepreneur sphere, paid extraordinary attention to all of the above expositions. Next year, the increased participation of other regions, cities and municipalities is anticipated.

As far as the FOR HABITAT trade fair is concerned, ABF will, within the acquisition of the year 2004, focus especially on firms producing or distributing furniture, glass, ceramics, flooring, soft furnishings and many other details which make flats cosy homes.

As far as the ECO CITY trade fair is concerned, the focus will be on a wider orientation in the environmental issues within the municipal policy, establishments making the life of cities and municipalities easier and on the emergence of energy concepts in individual regions.
